Heartful!

Is "heartful" a word? I don't think so, but it should be. Tonight we just hung out in the backyard. Bob and I watched our kids play in the playhouse, jump on the tramp, and torture the puppy. This evening will certainly go down in my personal history as a favorite. Sometimes it's just nuts to think these kids are here, and I am their mother. As Mother's Day approaches and Daughter's Day (a holiday created for me and by me) just passed, maybe I am more sensitive to these special moments. Knowing the pains of losing a child has made me so much more appreciative of what I do have, and I am keenly aware of how fragile (so cliche sounding) and short life can be. These small and spontaneous moments are to be treasured.

So well put Sabra. Again :)

I say heartful is a word. If it isn't yet, it should be...included in the 2010 revised dictionary with your blog entry as the definition. That picture of your kids jumping on the tramp right next to it wouldn't hurt either.

I'm calling Mr. Webster right now.

This makes me happy.
I love the precious moments like those- they somehow makes the cracked egg moments seem not so bad.
Cute pictures- I especially like the one of Bobby with Tiny. You guys are such a great family!

I love times like this.

I want to hear more about Daughter's Day. Have you also created Son's Day?

I think it is a word. And, it is a word that helps me understand exactly what you mean.

I'm glad you could recognize and hang onto a moment while you had it. Now that you have written it, you will always have it :)

Heartful it is. I have had some moments like that recently too. And I have been trying to bask in the simplicity, because I know it will not last forever.

I LOVED your talk today. So many points hit me. You looked wonderful too, loved your dress. You are such an example to all. I love to hear you speak.

Just updated myself on your blog back through April. I have been so behind, but now I am caught up with you! Love the puppy! Too cute.
