Well I woke up this morning with nothing to do. I decided it was time for some change on our blogs. I spent most of my morning on yours...I will get to mine eventually. I hope you like it! I accidentally lost your list of blogs in the process. I am sure you can't remember all of them...since you had tons. SO...if people could leave a comment on this post with the URL to their blogs that would be perfect...then I can get my sissy's list back to what it use to be. THANKS! I hope you like it...love and miss you.
Joanie
PS I'm not IN LOVE with the header so we can change it if you have any ideas.

New Hair!
Shami did another great job today! We always have fun when we are together, and I think this cut and color shows it! I've been working on growing out my A-line bob, stack, Texas bob, Victoria hair for about six months now. Everywhere I turned there was some variation of my hairstyle. That always means it's time for change! These pictures do not do it justice. It looks so great in real life, and it's even better outside. This picture is with it flipped out, but it also looks cool under or straight.

Hand In Hand
Buddy started Hand In Hand's two day program today! This is his first day of preschool! I don't know who was more excited...Buddy or Me? Okay, it was me. This kid is just too smart and too energetic to be cooped up with his mother all day every day. He woke up ready to go. He didn't even want to change out of the clothes he slept in (won't wear pajamas). He just slipped on his Crocs and said, "Ready." Of course, I had to put him in some fresh lothes, brush his teeth, and attempt a hairstyle. He was okay with clothes and teeth, but he stopped me at the hair. I decided to choose my battles for this morning. As you can see from the photos he was off and running! Bobby took him to school, and he did great. He reached up to Bobby, and Bob was afraid the boy wanted to be held and wouldn't easily adapt. Bobby went down to pick him up, and Buddy said, "No Dad, hug and a kiss!" They hugged, kissed, and said goodbye. I picked him up, and he was happy to go home, but he's ready for school again tomorrow.

Hair Despair!
Ashley made a house call today and cut my boys' hair. One was an angel, and the other...Well, the pictures say it all! Maverick was grasping at the cut hair on the ground and yelling, "I want my hair back on! Put it on!" So sad. Ashley and I had big plans for a trendy, fun cut for him, but he wouldn't have any of it, so I basically held him down while she buzzed. I'm sorry, Buddy!

Hide-N- Sneak!
The other day Buddy (Maverick), and I had an argument over the issue of being hungry just five minutes after I had made him a turkey sandwich that he only took two bites out of.
Now back up an hour. I made Mallory a sandwich to take to school that morning, but she decided she didn't like my mom's homemade, blackberry jam because it has the seeds in it. I had left the bagged sandwich on the counter and moved on (irritated).
Now back to Buddy. I left the room after telling him I was not going to make him toast when I just made him a sandwich.
Okay, so I left the room, and when I returned the boy and the sandwich were missing. I saw the empty Ziploc bag on the counter, so I knew he was hiding somewhere eating, and since it was quiet I decided to shower. When I got out of the shower he was still quiet, and this is not normal. I started to panic thinking he might have choked. I was calling for him, and there was no response.
It took twenty minutes, but I did find him, and this is what I found!
He was behind the curtain! Sleeping!

Fraggle?
I know I'm showing my age, but does this kid look like a human x fraggle hybrid? He woke up this way! I swear it! Ask Bob! He took the picture! I had done a cradle cap treatment on him earlier, and this is what he woke up looking like!

My Mini Men!
I love when my kids do things they see adults do. We were fortunate enough to catch these two acts on camera.

Blame It On The Rain!
It rained in Yuma! Once it finally made it down to us in the valley it only lasted about five minutes, but you bet we were out acting like a bunch of nutballs! We enjoyed every moist minute!

First Day Back!
Today is the first day of school! Yeah! Sydney starts 5th grade today (PE today), and Mallory begins 2nd grade! We all have been looking forward to today. I'm ready to get them busy again, and they were starting to get bored. Side note-I think the book Bob and I are reading has something to do with their level of boredom.

Breaking Sabra!
This book is ruling this house! This time around Bobby had to have his own copy, so we are both frantically reading, and you know how things go in the meantime! If they (meaning the kids) would just leave me alone I could finish and things could return to normalcy! Don't they get it?
This book is causing me to break all my own rules. I haven't done dishes. I haven't folded laundry. I haven't done much of anything, but if you know my home life...You know I keep up on laundry and dishes above all else. Stephenie Meyers could have titled this book "Breaking Homes."

Family Vacation!
Sydney was one the last time we went on a family vacation. Just about ten years later we were offered a share of my grandpa's timeshare, so we jumped on the opportunity. We had a beautiful place to stay right on the beach in Oceanside. I had grandious ideas of how great this vacation was going to be. It was great, but it was no "vacation." Nobody warned me until it was too late! I associate the word "vacation" with rest and relaxation. There was none of that on this trip! I've decided we need to come up with another word/term/phrase for "family vacation." Ideas?
