Much of my life I wanted to be a motivational speaker. Strange, I know. Anyway, one of my all time favorite speaches is Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I Have A Dream." I love the words, but even more is the manner in which it was delivered. Passion. This speach made history, and still today small children learn about him and his words when they are in elementary school!
Here is a worksheet Kibbee (age 7) did in class. I laughed out loud when I saw it and thought everyone would enjoy it.
"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character." - Martin Luther King, Jr.
"I have a dream that no one will smoke and no one will die. My dream is to be a rockstar like my dad." - Mallory Lemmon

The Playhouse!
Bob built a playhouse in the backyard. Last night we had several girls (6) spend the night in it! Bob ran a cord to it, and the girls were able to watch movies while they had a sleepover. They were pretty cold, but they stuck it out. I'm so irritated I didn't get pictures, but here is a picture of the playhouse this morning!

To Spank or Not To Spank?
Maverick used a little spray paint today in the garage. He has been scolded for this before, and he had done far less damage then. This time he did more wall art (not pictured), the door and switches in the garage, and MY CAR! We sent him to his room, but we haven't dealt with it, yet. Not sure what to do.
P.S. Both Bob and I were home when this happened.

Birthday Bob!
My awesome husband turned 31 yesterday! We had a quiet day. Carne with the neigbors and a little cake after.

Pretty Boy!
Bob and I went Maverick hunting yesterday, and he was nowhere to be found. Finally, he came out from under the pool table with perfectly polished toenails and fingernails. No spills, and he actually did a pretty good job. Rather than tell him polish is for girls, we just let him know that we only use polish in the bathrooms.

Alexis Reign!
Let me just start by saying St. Patrick's Day is the birthday of birthdays! I always hoped to have one on the day of. I was excited just to have one baby in the month of March. My dad's side of the family is extremely Irish, so I always thought it would impress him to have one born on the special Irish holiday. No such luck, but then my brother in law and his beautiful wife happen to have their second child on this awesome day! She is perfect and tiny. We are so excited to have Alexis in our family.

Looking For Treasures!
I heard Maverick banging something, but I figured it was on his sisters' bathroom door with his fist. They were showering, and he often bothers them. I was wrong.
He was "looking for treasures" on the side of our house! He was so proud of himself. He came and got me to show me what he was working on. I couldn't even begin to be upset with him, so I called in his dad. Bobby couldn't work up any anger either, but he did sentence him to his room with a little talking to.
What's a parent to do in this situation? I really don't think he thought he was doing anything wrong. He did it out in plain sight with our backdoor wide open. He wasn't being sneaky or mischievous. He was just being a pirate!

Birthday Buddy and Lino!
Lino and Maverick are six days apart, so we decided to do a party together this year for their 4th. We rented out Jump Up, and the kids basically ran wild for an hour and a half! They jumped, climbed, and rolled the entire time and didn't want to stop for cake. I'm extremely disappointed in my photos. I took so many my camera died before the party was over, but the quality was no good. I will post this good one of the boys blowing out their candles together.
