Maverick used a little spray paint today in the garage. He has been scolded for this before, and he had done far less damage then. This time he did more wall art (not pictured), the door and switches in the garage, and MY CAR! We sent him to his room, but we haven't dealt with it, yet. Not sure what to do.
P.S. Both Bob and I were home when this happened.

hmmm that one is hard....let daddy punish, but Colton's Daddy would spank me because he would would let me know that it was MY fault. (I'm not saying it's your fault) It's just that nothing bad happens when my husband watches him.

I have to agree with Megan. And with JJ. Is he 5? Take away a prized toy for a defined period of time...chore...I try not to sweat it when "things" are damaged...but wow...I'd also let him know about the danger to himself. Good you guys didn't react when you were angry. I hate it when that happens to me. And a good spank doesn't hurt now and then. IMO...I'll shut my trap now and tell ya thanks for the comments and we have to get together sometime!

How old is Maverick? In my home I think he would be spanked for such an act. Especially because you have already gone over this with him. Love and logic would say that you don't get angry but you give him a punishment that fits the crime. I don't know. I am anything but a perfect mom. Good luck with that one!

WOwzer is all I can say I remember when i was over and I asked about the hole in the wall and he just told me he was digging for treasure I can only imagine what he was thinking with this one. I don't know what to tell you except take a deep breath :)
